Driot Associés Motor Sport (previously known as Driot-Arnoux Motorsport), more commonly known simply as DAMS, is a French motor racing team, which competes in the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Sean Gelael and Dan Ticktum as their drivers.[1] One of the founding teams of both the GP2 Series and F2, DAMS were founded by Jean-Paul Driot and René Arnoux in 1988 to develop young drivers.[2]

DAMS would take part in every edition of the GP2 Series, before remaining through the Series' transition into the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2017.[3] For their first F2 season DAMS would run Oliver Rowland and Nicholas Latifi, with the former finishing third in the Championship and leading the French squad to third in the Teams' battle.[4]

For 2018 DAMS would retain Latifi as Rowland moved to their FIA Formula E Championship team, instead signing Alexander Albon on a race-by-race contract.[5][6] The Thai racer duly started the season strongly to earn himself a full-season contract for the rest of the campaign, which ended with Albon scoring third in the Championship and a spot in Formula One.[7] DAMS, meanwhile, once again secured third in the Championship as Latifi slumped to ninth in the Championship.[7]

Regardless, Latifi remained as DAMS' lead driver for 2019, with the French squad signing Sérgio Sette Câmara to partner him for the campaign.[8][9] The duo would both start the season as title contenders but faded to second and fourth respectively, although their combined tally left DAMS as comfortable Teams' Champions on 418 points.[10]

With both Latifi and Câmara leaving F2 at the end of the season DAMS were forced to sign a whole new driver line-up for 2020, and duly signed Gelael to partner Ticktum.[1]
